Cobweb Oreos

Ingredients

  • One box Double Stuff Oreos
  • 24 Lollipop Sticks
  • 24 oz Rainbow™ Superwhite Confectionery Wafers
  • 2 oz Rainbow™ Cocoa Dark Confectionery Wafers
  • 36 Dark Brown or Black Candy Pieces

Directions

  1. To make your spiders, melt wafers according to handling instructions.
  2. Transfer to a small piping bag and pipe spider legs on parchment paper. Immediately place an M&M in the center. Repeat to make about 36 spiders (making extra in case they break in later use)
  3. While spiders harden, twist apart Oreos.
  4. Melt a small amount (<1/4 cup) of Superwhite wafers according to handling instructions.
  5. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted coating and press into white filling of Oreo. Place other half of cookie back on top and press together. Place on a baking sheet.
  6. Repeat this process with remaining Oreos, and then freeze until firm (10-15 minutes).
  7. Melt remaining Superwhite wafers according to handling instructions.
  8. Once Oreos are chilled, hold at the stick and dip into melted wafers until completely coated. Remove excess.
  9. Set on parchment paper to harden.
  10. Transfer remaining white coating into piping bag. Drizzle over each Oreo to make a messy web-like pattern.
  11. Immediately place a spider on this melted drizzle and allow everything to harden up for at least a few hours.
  12. Once hardened, store in an air-tight container or tie up in cello bags.
