Father’s Day Donuts
Ingredients
- Donut Pan
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter, melted 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tbsp Skim Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For Glaze
- Rainbow™ Blue Confectionery Wafers, or color of your choice
- 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350oF. Prepare Donut Pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir together until well combined. Try not to over-mix.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut cavities.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and transfer the donuts onto a wire rack until cool enough to handle but still warm.
- For glaze, bring whipping cream to bowl. Pour over confectionery wafers to melt. Stir thoroughly until mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Dip the donuts in the glaze, return to the wire rack.
- Immediately decorate with sprinkles or drizzle as desired.
- Allow glaze to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes before stacking or serving.
