Father’s Day Donuts

Ingredients

  • Donut Pan
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter, melted 1 Egg
  • 1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tbsp Skim Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For Glaze

  • Rainbow™ Blue Confectionery Wafers, or color of your choice
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350oF. Prepare Donut Pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir together until well combined. Try not to over-mix.
  5. Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut cavities.
  6. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and transfer the donuts onto a wire rack until cool enough to handle but still warm.
  8. For glaze, bring whipping cream to bowl. Pour over confectionery wafers to melt. Stir thoroughly until mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  9. Dip the donuts in the glaze, return to the wire rack.
  10. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or drizzle as desired.
  11. Allow glaze to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes before stacking or serving.
