Spoon Flowers

Ingredients

  • 6 oz each Rainbow™ Pink, Yellow, Peach, Orchid or other Spring-Colored Confectionery Wafers
  • Plastic Spoons in 2 Sizes, Medium & Small

Directions

  1. In separate bowls, melt confectionery wafers according to handling instructions.
  2. Coat the back of the spoons with melted compound then place in the refrigerator.
  3. Repeat multiple times to create desired number of petals. Be sure to make extra in case some break.
  4. Once dry, coat again to make the layer thick and sturdy. Place in refridgerator once more.
  5. Repeat for all spoons.
  6. Once dry, gently twist the side of the spoons to release the flower petals.
  7. If needed, carefully use a knife or vegetable peeler to clean the edges.
  8. In a small round bowl place a small piece of parchment paper. Bowl will assist in the angling the flower petals so choosed based on desired bloom.
  9. Dip petals in the melted wafers and place in the bowl.
  10. Dip second petal and place tilting slightly on the other, holding in place for a few minutes until partially dry.
  11. Repeat 5 more times to complete first row (total of 7 petals).
  12. Using same dipping method, place 5 petals on top of base to create second row.
  13. Using same dipping method, place 3 small petals in the middle to complete flower.
  14. Refrigerate and allow to dry.
